Show your customers that their data is safe with you.
Data protection officers have to oversee your compliance with regulation, provide advice and guidance, liaise with the ICO, maintain their own training and stay scrupulously independent. It's their job to make sure you process data safely, transparently and fairly, and to champion the rights of your data subjects.
Your data protection officer has a lot of responsibility
Many organisations must have a DPO; some that don't need to may choose to have one to reassure customers or staff
Your DPO must be independent - they can't be a senior decision-maker or involved in performing data processing
It's a professional position that requires appropriate qualifications and experience
You're required to give the DPO the right level of support, authority and ongoing training
How will you fill this role?
We can help
Our data protection officer service ticks all of the regulatory boxes. More importantly, our experienced and qualified DPOs will work with you to make sure that you remain compliant without unnecessary expense and inefficiency.
Liaison with the ICO and other relevant regulators; direct handling of data subject access requests and other enquiries; intermediation with suppliers and customers including review of data sharing agreements.
Inclusive time for investigation, crisis communications and breach mitigation. On-site or remote response with a cast-iron SLA to ensure you meet your regulatory reporting requirements.
How it works
You pay a fixed monthly fee based on your size and the nature of your processing. It covers all of the routine work of the DPO. You get a named individual contact supported by our team and resources. The service includes a set number of on-site visits as well as our assisted compliance and helpline services.
We maintain comprehensive documentation for you including a compliance dashboard as well as the necessary regulatory paperwork. Your DPO is available to you as needed to give advice and be involved in decision-making as required by legislation.
What else do you get?
All DPO customers get a discount on other work including document licences, on-site visits and training. You also receive our monthly update newsletter with analysis of changes in regulation and compliance, tips for improving your security and - if you’ve licensed our policy framework - suggested updates to policies and procedures.
