In this webinar, the latest in our international data series, panellists Joe Jones Deputy Director International Data Transfers at the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), Ann McManus, Head of Data Protection & Privacy at Lloyd's and Sara Newman, Practice Lead at Securys joined panel chair, Ben Rapp, Principal at Securys.
Transferring personal data across borders is one of the most challenging aspects of current privacy practice and a key regulatory focus. To set the context, Ben Rapp as Chair provided a comprehensive round up of the latest developments, providing the context to current tensions and touching on the business implications should The Irish DPC's proposed enforcement action against Meta be upheld.
Finally, with a focus on workable solutions and practical tips to mitigate risk and keep data flowing internally and to partners, Ben Rapp asked panel members for their expert view on what privacy professionals should be considering.

1. Map your data flows to identify sensitive data and critical data flows
2. Ensure safeguards are in place right across your supply chain
3. Simplify where possible to reduce what's been transferred or to transform what's identifiable.
